Cupaniopsis anacardioides
Shown at the left is a small tree to about 7 metres high. It appears to be the source of seed for a relatively large number of seedlings around the wetland. It is also not known if this species is indigenous to the area or planted by a neighbour to the wetland.
It is known to occur in scrub near the sea and along estuaries, which almost includes the wetland, only a kilometre or so from Tuggerah Lakes.
