Reed Bent-grass

Deyeuxia quadriseta

This tufting perennial grass, a relatively uncommon grass at Tumbi, is known to grow in moist areas, by creeks and in swamps. At Tumbi it was found growing amongst sedges on a quite soggy gentle slope. Its leaves grow to 30 or 40 cm and flowering stem reach a height of up to 1.2 m.
The panicle shown is about 7 cm long and upto 15 mm wide.
