Wiry Rush

Juncus homalocaulis

The photo is of a herbarium sheet showing the small, tufted perennial.

Seed stems are 5 - 35 cm high, and have a diameter of 0.5 to 1.2 mm with the tallest photographed here about 12 cm.

Leaves are about as long as seed stems, and less thn 1 mm wide. Flowers are clustered.

It is fairly widely spread across eastern NSW as well as neighbouring states.
