Bleeding Heart Tree

Homalanthus populifolius

This plant grows to 2 - 4 metres high. The one photographed is about 1 metre and is growing in a quite stongly shaded area under a canopy of Acacia longifolia and Eucalyptus robusta.

February 2010: It is now over 3 m tall.

Small animals in the woodland find the leaves of this plant tasty.
