Lepyrodia scariosa

This sedge grows to about 80 cms tall but is not found to be erect, rather lying wind blown. It has the male and female reproductive structures on separate plants

The centre part of the photo shows a small leaf about 2 cm long forming a sheath around the seed stem at each node.
