Acacia longifolia / Sydney Golden Wattle

A tall erect shrub up to 5 metres high. It is a pioneer plant which germinates profusely after fire. It flowers from 07/to 11/with the long cylindrical flowers shown. The seed pod (see insert top left) is also approximately a 15 cm long cylindrical one. It has longer and slimmer phyllodes than Acacia longifolia ssp.sophorae and usually is much taller.
