A tidy shrub to about 1.5 m tall and wide. Flowers from 03/through to 09/with the colour of flowers changing as they mature as shown. The common name comes from the stiff red to black looped styles in the centre of each of the many petal-less flowers that make up the cone of flower. Created: 10/19/2007
