Baumea teretifolia / Slender Twig – rush
The photo accompanying is of the preserved plant specimen. The right side shows an A3 size specimen somewhat reduced and the left panel is a 80% sized panicle – 15 cms long. It is a much denser panicle than in the more common (at Tumbi Wetlands)Baumea rubiginosa. It was found in early spring in a very wet region surrounded by Persicaria strigosa. It stood about 130cms tall. Created: 08/29/2016
