This moderately common fern likes wet shady areas and forms tussocks along stream banks and low-lying places in the ephemeral (occasional) wetland. The lower part of the photo shows the underside of a mature leaf with its neat rows of circular Sori (spore producing structures). Created: 02/28/2008
