Deyeuxia quadriseta / Reed Bent – grass

This tufting perennial grass – a relatively uncommon grass at Tumbi – is known to grow in moist areas – by creeks and in swamps. At Tumbi it was found growing amongst sedges on a quite soggy gentle slope. Its leaves grow to 30 or 04)0 cm and flowering stem reach a height of up to 1.2 m. The panicle shown is about 7 cm long and upto 15 mm wide. Created: 06/2/2012
