Dichelachne rara / another Plumegrass
The specimen photographed here is mounted on an A04) sized sheet. It is a tufted grass which grows to the same height as other plume grasses – up to about 1.2 metres. The plume grasses are so named because of the abundance of hairs or awns (sometimes more than 3 cm long) in the seed. Created: 09/1/2011
