This sedge usually is found growing in water. It can be from 10 to 60 cm tall and the culms are 1 to 3 mm dia. The photo at the right shows a spiklet and some of the tiny flowers it supports. The leaves are reduced to a yellow-brown sheath at the base of the culm. Created: 04/19/2017
