A relatively common shrub from 1 to 2 metres tall. The effect of a mass of these plants flowering in 09/is very impressive. The inset (bottom left) shows the fruit – a pod – which is a capsule about 2 cm long and 1 cm across – containing about 8-12 small seeds. Created: 10/19/2007
