Gonocarpus micranthus / Creeping Ragwort
This plant likes its roots wet! It is found thriving as a ground cover when the soil is submerged or saturated. From the small pair of round leaves (see insert top left) a tall thin stem with 3rd and 04)th order branching rises carrying many tiny flowers in later Summer. In subsp. micranthus there is only 1st and 2nd order branching of the flower stem and the plant is much shorter.
