Gonocarpus tetragynus /
This little herb is quite prolific in one of the disturbed areas at Tumbi Wetlands. It grows to about 30 cm tall and has leaves up to 15 mm long and 5 mm wide. Its leaf arrangement is called decussate – because there is a pair of opposite leaves growing at each node along the stems and alternate pairs are at right angles to each other. Created: 07/18/2016
