Juncus homalocaulis / Wiry Rush
The photo is of a herbarium sheet showing the small – tufted perennial. Seed stems are 5 – 35 cm high – and have a diameter of 0.5 to 1.2 mm with the tallest photographed here about 12 cm. Leaves are about as long as seed stems – and less thn 1 mm wide. Flowers are clustered. It is fairly widely spread across eastern NSW as well as neighbouring states. Created: 01/19/2015
