Melaleuca ericifolia / Swamp Paperbark
This shrub or small tree grows to 8 m high and has corky bark. Leaves scattered or in whorls of 3 – linear – mostly 7-15 mm long – and about 1 mm wide and neither hairy or scaly; veins are not conspicuous – apex of leaf is acute; petiole is up to 1 mm long. As the common name suggests these plants were found in an area almost constantly wet. Created: 04/25/2009
