This geographically widespread grass is a densely tufted and can be found flowering much of the year. At Tumbi it was found in a woodland area growing to a height of about 1.2 m. It is most likely to be found in an area where it will get a good natural watering occasionally. The photo (aprox 1/2 size) shows one of the seed panicles with its loosely spreading branches.
